DAY 2: A GROWING MENACE - REASONS WHY WE HATE! FREE!!! Listen/purchase: Reasons why we hate by A GROWING MENACE
I’ve been reworking some old music comps and finally made my way back to this baby - the one that really set things in motion without anyone really knowing it had happened. When it first came out it had no stable art work, was burnt on CD-R and wrapped most of the time in notebook paper. But I’ve always wanted to give it the cover it deserved & as of now I have. It’s now been 10 years since this record originally came out & now thanks to not sleeping much I’ve not only made that cover, but taken the time to remaster the whole damn thing & make it available for FREE streaming & download!!! So please feel free to share! There’s really good tunes on here along with some that will…well… I’d better not say..ENJOY!

"The World famous Fuckemos 2013 - Official Bootleg Design & Tee"
Ink / screen printing
* Okay so here’s the back story to this tee & design. Fuckemos is up there in my list of top 5 favorite bands of all time, fortunately they are cool ass hell we get to party down from time to time. Sunday I woke up, made some love, & immediately got inspired to draw with intention of drawing something sassy, quick, & rugged. The drawing soon became the femo drawing above, then a shirt design to make some D.I.Y. Femo shirts to commemorate the event for me my gal & to wear to the show till we could buy legit ones - my old ones keep getting stolen for some reason. Was gonna do iron-on’s, but my printer was low on ink and I was tired. I remembered spotting this small screen printing place next to a tire shop on the out skirts of town - a one room operation in a garage & is only open late night Fri & all-day Sat & Sun. It’s small sign said cheap custom tees so I thought what the hell if that’s real I’ll just get them printed there, and have them make the singer one too. As it turns out the place was real & the owner a nice old Mexican cowboy from Cali who liked the design and told me that he’d charge me the same price for 10 as 3 for same day turn around. So I thought what the hell, I had some friends going & thought it’d be cool if we all had some shirts. So I got em made $80, he ended up making 11; one grey one (for Russell) 9 white ones & a pink one for my girl. We got to the show and most of my friends that were supposed to go bailed. Needless to say there were extras. So I just randomly gave out what I had left during the show to whoever seemed less dick & to those who actually seemed to enjoy the show and who were not just there to talk over people so they can say they were there. I never sold one shirt & wouldn’t try. My goal was never to make a profit by undercutting or bootlegging. I just told them the band cared & it made their nights even awesomer. I like art, love music, liked the drawing, & figured a select few would too. I wasn’t trying to rip the band off in the least. I’m just a fun loving dope smoking fan who drives hours to see these guys any chance I get. Which is usually once every couple of years when they play a one off show in Austin. - I just wanted to share the femo love & give a few people a random commemorative tee. Now that night was awesome, I gave two to some of my old skool homies from back home who live there now & who did make it out, gave Rus his shirt (which he said he loved) hell I even gave Sean P- the drummer one (who as it turns out is now drumming for one of my fav punk bands from junior high Samiam). Small world. We partied, I moshed, went berzerk, I blacked out, lost my glasses & ended up having to miss a week of work till I got my new ones. But in the end it was worth it all! Cheers - here’s to living!! Happy trails guys!
Echoes in the dark is finally done & here! Lots of hard work, blood, sweat, tears, & beers went into this effort. I did every damn thing on this record, the art, music, the words, the samples, mixing, producing, distribution - you name it, I did it. This 14 track D.I.Y. concept album is a journey through the ups & downs of a lost man’s life. It’s been referred to as experimental alternative industrial acoustic - if that peeks your interest at all. *Old PROMO GIF I did for my record “So Gone, I’m Here”. It’s funny for a number of reasons- one of those is the fact that the cover that appears in the ad isn’t the cover that was used & two that werewolf dog that keeps jumping by is the work of longtime friend & collaborator Adan Gonzales of Obliterates. It was a sketch I cut out from some lyrics I had laying around that the bastard drew on. To get him back & because I thought it was funny as hell I added it to this ad. Too bad more sites don’t accept .gif’s these days…they’re a lot of fun.
