Well it’s been a long time coming but it’s finally underway. As long as I can remember I’ve held a special esteem for comic books, but not always your typical superhero comics more comix - more satirical, more adult themed, more off the wall. The likes of Ralph Snart, Madman, Bone, Zap, Milk & Cheese, Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, Scud: Disposable assassin, What the?, Megaton Man, Mad Magazine, Cracked, and more have always inspired something in me and encouraged me to create my own worlds - my own works. Over the years I’ve drawn a number of comic books just to do it, and never really strove to do much more then dream about what if? Last year that all changed for me when I decided to start undertaking a project to combine some of these ideas I’ve had floating around in my head all these years. That project soon became what is now Planet No-No Comix. It is now my turn & hope to return some of the laughs & inspiration I’ve received from all these other artists works. I’m a 26yr college student with a very limited budget, a head chock full of ideas, a drive to never give up, and the desire to see things through to fruition. It’s my personal honor and privilege to finally make this happen & to have the chance to get you fellow creators & art lovers involved with my work. I’ve painstakingly put together some really awesome thank you packages for contributors of $10 or more to help bring my dream to print through Kickstarter. I’m choosing to do this DIY style since that is the way those who inspired me got their starts. Whether, this comic goes on for years and grows to sell thousands of copies or stays in extremely small prints of a few hundred at a time or even if it is to ever get printed at all, it all comes down to this little kickstart and how well the title’s received. All I ask is that you take a minute to look at my page, watch the video, and read the available 411 about what you can expect from Planet No-No Comix. If you feel it as much as I do and have anything to donate even a $1 can go a very long way to turning this dream into a reality. Even if you don’t have anything to contribute financially simply helping to spread the word - sharing the link below and even passing the word along by word of mouth would help in leaps in a bounds. Thank you all for you time & hopefully I’ll see you in print!
